Scientists Tracking Sharks with Every Day Drones

Using off-the-shelf drones for surveys allow scientists to more easily monitor megafauna species in shallow water because they do not intrude like traditional monitoring methods. Additionally, several types of sharks have been detected: nurse, lemon, and bonnethead sharks, as well as southern and spotted stingrays.
