Drones Aid in Conservation of Elusive Nightjar Bird

The nightjar bird is difficult to spot, which is a problem for loggers and forest managers.  The population of the bird is in decline,  and current methods of searching for nightjar nests on foot are expensive and can pose a health and safety risk for people. By using drones, images could be taken  without getting too close to the birds or disturbing their nests. The thermal cameras easily showed nest locations.
